"Diving Deep" Ceramic Sculpture by Porschia Denning 6" (w) x 8" (h)

Completing a vessel on the pottery wheel is a practice in overcoming distractions and finding the zen of being centered. This sculpture started as unformed clay and as I turned the wheel,  carved the clay and shaped the face, a feeling of freedom was my strongest result. I dreamt of her every night while falling asleep and every morning while waking up, excited to develop the next stage in her creation.  Seeing her in my mind and then face to face is magical.
