MEET THE ARTIST

Hi there!  I am Porschia Denning and I have been playing music and creating art since I can remember. Growing up in a military household, I have moved all around the world. Art and music is what I fell in love with as it has always kept me company in my travels.

I have experience with many mediums of the arts such as painting seascapes, murals, creating with stained glass, ceramics, jewelry, and I love playing guitar and singing.

A passion of mine would be performing music. I love getting on stage, playing my guitar and singing. I enjoy it most when the audience joins along!  Someone once described my music as Diva Blues, and I love that because divas such as Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, and Susan Tedeschi are my inspiration!

Experiencing the creation of art is the culmination of tiny moments of clarity and joy as discoveries are made.  I am so grateful that those feelings can be shared, through collaboration.

Along the way, I have learned that artists and collectors have a lot in common within our everyday lives- learning to be creative, find solutions, listen and collaborate. Collaborating ideas artistically is such a beautiful outlet of creativity. I'm never more gratified than when I can help someone bring their creative vision to life.

My once in a lifetime experience was moving to St John, USVI where I continue to pursue my love for art and music. Please join me on social media or in person for an art show or meet me at my next performance!
